Greetings GRC Chapter members,

Here is an opportunity to exhibit your artwork in another part of the State and also have it seen on the Ripple River Gallery's website!  www.ripplerivergallery.com

GRC 1-2009 Entry Form2.doc

The Ripple River Gallery in Aitkin, Minnesota has requested to host an exhibit of botanical art by members of the Great River Chapter from mid-September to mid-October 2009.  They accept only original art and normally it must be for sale.  However, for our exhibit they are willing to accept your original art under the following conditions:

"As far as work in the show that is not for sale -- We'll make an exception to our policy as long as the originals are shown and their reproductions are of high quality and are mounted, shrink wrapped and ready for sale."

The Ripple River Exhibit has been scheduled to follow the Bloomington Art Center Exhibit so those who have work there can also exhibit their work in Aitkin.  The same work will be allowed since this is a different city.  Others are welcome to exhibit also.

The deadline for completing the attached entry form and submit a scanned image is June 15th.  Your artwork can be delivered to Kathy Franzen or Deb Greenblatt as late as September 1, 2009.

The art gallery has room for 30-40 pieces.  Their consignment rate is 60% for the artist, 40% for the gallery.  Kathy Franzen has volunteered to transport the artwork to Aitkin and pick up the work that has not sold at the end of the exhibit.  So no mailing costs!

Ripple River Gallery has developed a strong reputation as an artist-friendly gallery that provides a "niche" for professional artists who produce quality, original work.  Since the gallery opened in 2000 about 50 regional artists in a range of media--pottery, wood, jewelry, fiber, painting and print making--have been featured.  Please visit their website  to view a complete archive of past years' exhibits
