Audubon 2: Birds and More
Join the Great River Chapter on May 31, for a return visit to the exhibit Audubon and the Art of Birds at the Bell Museum of Natural History.   About 80% of the exhibit has been changed, including most of the Audubon prints, making this second version essentially a different exhibit.  Using Audubon’s great work as a focal point, the exhibition traces the evolution of ornithological art from the Renaissance to the present day.

And More:  Dioramas!
In our very popular January event, curator Don Luce gave our large group a brief introduction to the dioramas before his Audubon presentation.  For this visit, Don will still present the birds, while his associate Jennifer Menkin will give a more thorough tour of the wildlife dioramas, which are widely recognised as among the finest in the country.  We’ll tour in two groups for more personalized presentations, switching galleries in mid-tour.

The entry fee for GRC members will be covered by the chapter; guests are welcome at $3.50 per person (payable on site). We need to have an accurate head count before the event, so please be sure to register.

If you were with us in January, you’ll surely want to see more.  And if you missed it, here’s your chance!
