Norma Nelson

Norma is a native of Minnesota who graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1969 with a B.A. degree in studio art and a minor in art history.

She lives on the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis with her husband Peter and works as a freelance graphic designer, specializing in product illustration.

Norma took her first classes at the Minnesota School of Botanical Art in the fall of 2006.  Since then she has shown at the Gallery at Filoli in California, the Bloomington Art Center, the Robbin Gallery in Minnesota, the 2008 ASBA Convention in Pasadena, the 2009 ASBA show at the Phoenix Art Museum, and a three-person show at the Groveland Gallery in Minneapolis in 2009.  She was also in a GRC group show at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts, the Hudson Hospital show organized by the Phipps Center for the Arts in 2010, and the 2011 GRC show at the Phipps Center for the Arts.
