    Our chapter is well represented in the Sept. 2013 issue of the ASBA's journal! The "No really, that's how I do it" article is "Basics of Painting on Vellum," written and illustrated with photos by Denise Walser-Kolar, p. 18-19. The "Cross pollination" focus is on the Great River Chapter, including "The Challenge of Pricing Botanical Art," a description of last year's panel discussion written by Jane Hancock, illustrated with art by Marilyn Garber, Mary Anne O'Malley, Kathy Creger, and Suz Galloway, p. 8-9.

    Both Denise and Mary Anne have pieces in the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation's 14th International Exhibition of Botanical Art and Illustration in Pittsburgh PA. The show is opening in conjunction with the ASBA 19th Annual Meeting & Conference in Pittsburgh, September 26 - December 19, 2013.

    Congratulations to Connie, who's exhibiting at the April 11-13 botantical art show of the Royal Horticultural Society in London. This is one of the premier events in the botanical art world. Her group of paintings is titled "Preludes and Postludes on a Stem."

    Paintings by Wendy and Denise are included in "What We Collect: Recent Art Acquisitions" at the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Pittsburgh. The Hunt Institute has the premier collection of botanical art in the U.S.

    The Dec. 2012 issue of The Botanical Artist has a hosta painting by Linda and an iris painting by Connie illustrated on p. 15. Congratulations!

    The Sept. 2012 issue of The Botanical Artist has a great article about the founding and growth of the Florilegium collection. Beautiful paintings by Faith Clover and Terry Klepinski illustrate the article.

    Wendy and Marilyn had paintings in the exhibit "Portraits of a Garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Florilegium" which was held at the Hunt Institute, Pittsburgh, PA, in autumn 2012.

    Mary Anne O'Malley had a painting in the 15th ASBA exhibit Fall, 2012, at the Horticultural Society of New York.
