LYNNE HAGEN
I’ve always admired botanical painting. As a lifelong learner, I took my first botanical art workshop in 2014 and developed a sudden love-hate relationship with the process. The hate part is the challenge of getting over the hump called the “ugly stage” before getting to the fun part when the paintings start to look like everything's coming together.
I am kind of a dabbler and typically work in watercolor, colored pencil, or graphite. I enjoy experimenting with various techniques or compositions beyond just botanical subjects. In recent years, I have strived more to find the spiritual connection with my art.
