MARIAN ADCOCK
“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit,” wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson. This sentiment is echoed in the botanical paintings of Marian S. Adcock. Using inspiration from her lifelong passion for nature’s beauty, Marian transforms nature’s vibrant color and tranquility into exquisitely delicate detailed works of botanical art. Marian follows the ancient botanical art traditions to create her scientifically accurate depictions of plant life combined with artistic acumen.
Marian’s artwork has been shown in well over 60 juried art exhibitions and has been published in several art books. In 2018 her work was selected as being “best of International Arts,” and was published in ARTtour INTERNATIONAL “Best of International Art” YEAR 2018, Spring issue.

Marian’s medium is colored pencil painted on Strathmore Bristol vellum surface 500 series.
